This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS muscle car is in this January issue of Super Chevy! This 69 camaro convertible pro-touring is a real protour car, not your average car. It’s probably the nicest most custom camaro in the country. Notice the shaved flush mount front windshield, the shaved stainless around the convertible top, the side markers … Next came the custom hand made steel hood and header pane. Check out the rear of the car – it has modified lower portion of the tail panel, notice the custom exhaust tips and one-off billet tailights (the only ones in existance) custom harley “pop-up” gas cap.
Then these guys spent about 100 hours on the rear bumper narrowed and moved in closer. Now look at the rear hand made spoiler made from steel. Door handles were shaved and customized (see picture), custom hot rod side mirrors with LED turn signals installed, front bumper was also shaved and moved closer, firewall is completely shaved and extremely nice. The wiper motor has custom made modification to install it under the driver’s side fender, so its hidden, Detroit Speed mini tubs were installed and so on.
The drivetrain
Ls1 completely stripped and paint matched! Comp cams 630 lift cam and matching springs, chrome Magnacharger pushing 6 pounds of boost, coil packs were all shaved and moved inside the car, JET coated headers, Griffin aluminum radiator, T56 6 speed with Z06 clutch installed! Car has been dyno tuned and produced 500 rwhp and 500 ft lbs of torque on pump gas and 6 psi!
Front suspension
Chris Alston Chassisworks front G machine subframe, chrome power rack and pinion, custom made spindles to mount Bear brakes. Powder coated silver, bear 15″ 6 piston extreme plus brakes, double adjustable shockwaves (air ride)!
Rear suspension
Chris Alston Chassisworks Billet G-link with splinned sway bar, Fab 9 with back brace, Bear 14″ 6 piston pro plus brakes, Strange nodular center section with 410 gears, Tru Trac posi, 31 spline super street axles, double adjustable shockwaves.
Inside the car
Custom 2 tone leather, custom made console, power windows, keyless push button start, tilt ididit column, custom made fiberglass dash and door panels, custom Billet gauge cluster housing autometer cobalt gauges, Billet glove box door and frame, Billet window switches, Eclipse 6600 double DIN with DVD, navigation , iPod, and more, trunk is enclosed with subs and paint matched amp, entire car is Dynamat wrapped!
