2019 Ford Ranger is rated as the most fuel-efficient gas-powered midsize pickup in America – Ford’s excellent new machine provides neat EPA-estimated ratings of 21mpg city, 26 mpg highway and 23 mpg combined for the 4×2 truck variants.
However, for the 4×4 versions, 2019 Ford Ranger delivers 20 mpg city, 24 mpg highway and 22 mpg combined rates. Not bad, right? Although this is an unsurpassed EPA rating, we do wish that there are more tests that prove the latest Ford family member as a worthy for such an honor.
In terms of drivetrain system and performance rates, the vehicle is geared with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost that delivers 270hp and 310lb-ft of torque, distributed by a 10-speed gearbox. Such a combination ensures efficiency, power and off-road capabilities that are second to none in the segment.
Furthermore, Ranger is engineered to serve the needs of North America and features innovative technology as class-exclusive Blind Spot Infotainment System with trailer coverage, all-new Terrain Management System with Trail Control and standard FordPass Connect with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot support for up to 10 devices.
Produced at the Michigan Assembly Plant, the truck arrives at dealer in January next year. Enjoy!
