The presented 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air was modified by the tuners at Kindig It Design. The tuners have worked in order to enhance both the exterior and interior of the car and as you might see it looks like it has just gotten out of production.
As a sound basis the tuners used Bel Air’s stock body, along with a Tri-Five frame which was delivered by Art Morrison Enterprises. And with the aim to make it a custom car for real they have shaved the car’s trunk, installed Kindig-It Design’s patented smooth door handles, one-piece bumpers in the front and rear, and a hot match motorcycle gas cap.
Then, the car was lowered, thus exuding a powerful stance as well as it was given a blacked out grill for a more aggressive look. The body of this Chevy was later painted in Kindig-It Design custom color, called “Kindig-It Classic Clay”, while a “Toyota Camry White” paint finish was utilized for car’s roof and back panels.
Next, the specialists have used Schott Performance Wheels’ Americana wheels, sized 19 x 8 at the front and 20 x 12 at the rear for this project. They were fitted with Michelin Pilot Supersport tires, in sizes of 225x35x19 and 335x30x20 for the front and rear respectively.
Under the hood of the model sleeps the GM Performance 435 horsepower LS3 engine with a Billet Specialties Tru Trac Serpentine System, Taylor Wire adaptor valve covers, Offenhauser small-block Chevy covers over coil packs, and custom-built fuel rail and injection covers. The engine was mated to a GM Performance TR-6060 six-speed transmission.
At last, the tuning work regarding the interior was provided by JS Customs of Salt Lake City. They have equipped the Bel Air with Ferrari tan leather with a Daytona weave and factory tinsel silver piping. Inside one can only see gauges provided by Dakota Digital, a JVC deck with KICKER audio system and a Kindig-It Designs electronic parking brake.
