The Roush Automotive Collection held their second Open House of the season, welcoming fans to interact with ROUSH Performance’s NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers and Jack, Jack Jr., and Susan Roush.
Like the first, this Open House event featured a car cruise-in, door prize drawings, ROUSH Performance Facility Tours, drag race simulator, Mustang pinball machine, and a ROUSH engine build competition.
Chris Buescher spent the day with us at ROUSH Performance (stay tuned for a video interview coming soon) before joining Ryan Reed, Elliot Sadler, Darrell (Bubba) Wallace Jr., and the one and only Jack Roush (who arrived in a Livonia police car) to meet with fans and sign autographs.
The Roush Automotive Collection Retail Store and Museum was open for shopping and free self-led tours.
A wide variety of classic and special interest vehicles were displayed along Market Street, including two 2015 ROUSH Stage 3 Mustangs, a few ROUSH Mustangs from Hines Park Ford, and an all-new 2016 Ford GT350R.
We also gave away a pair of MIS Grandstand seat tickets for the Quicken Loans 400 and a variety of Roush Fenway memorabilia.
There were two tours of the ROUSH Performance Products Facility (separate from the Roush Collection Museum), with shuttles bringing guests to see firsthand what goes into producing a ROUSH Performance vehicle. Later, two teams from the ROUSH Engine Build Department competed side-by-side to see who could execute a complete engine build-up, including a live test run, in the quickest time.
The third and final Open House of the 2015 season will be on August 13th at our Livonia, Michigan, facility. All events are open to the public free of charge.
