Dodge Offers A Performance Appearance Package for 2010 Challenger

Posted on 5 January, 2010

Sprucing up a brand-new Dodge Challenger has become a little bit easier, thanks to a new factory-optional Performance Appearance Package from Chrysler. Broken into two separate options, the package can add a more exclusive look to both the interior and exterior of most 2010 Dodge Challenger SE or R/T models. The exterior package adds a unique hood (complete with a hood scoop patterned after that used on the 1970 Challenger – a taller “Go-Wing” rear spoiler, and unique “strobe stripes” that run along the car’s beltline. Buyers who spring for the interior group will see their cabins decorated with stainless steel sill plates, premium floor mats, a chromed T-handle shift knob, and premium floor mats. Polished stainless steel pedals are available on cars with automatic transmissions, but not on R/T cars with the six-speed manual.

“We worked closely with Mopar to further enhance the appearance of Dodge’s modern-day muscle machine,” said Ralph Gilles, president and CEO of Dodge Car Brand. “Our additional design cues effectively communicate the vehicle’s world-class handling, performance and cutting-edge technology.”

Chrysler says opting for the exterior package will add approximately $1995 to the sticker price of a Challenger SE or R/T. Expect the interior package to tack on another $945 to cars with automatics, and $780 for those equipped with manual gearboxes.
