CarGurus team has used Car Award nominees that were selected from late-model vehicles originally available in the US. Car generations has included the 2015 model year, which was considered one of the best in the lineup. Furthermore, nominees were evaluated on criteria including CarGurus user reviews, professional test drive reviews, popularity, availability and retention value.
