McLaren Automotive will finally unveil a fifth machine in the Longtail lineup. This will happen next week on a special event. What we know so far is that the latest family member features increased power, reduced weight, optimized aerodynamics, track-focused performance capabilities and limited availability. Although such a machine broadens the choice for McLaren customers, this particular model will be produced for just 12 months, so potential buyers should act quickly.
As you might know, Mclaren Longtail story has begun in 1997 with the revealing of McLaren F1 GTR “Longtail”. Not only the vehicle showcased brand’s dedication towards track races, but has also won the GIA GT Championship. Some years later, McLaren team revived the Longtail name with the launch of 2015 675LT Coupe, which was rapidly sold out. Then the mighty 675LT Spider followed, with all 500 examples being sold in matter of two weeks. The last model to bear the name Longtail is the 600LT Coupe was revealed in July 2018 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed and now will be followed by a new generation of sportscar.
